AcelloRosa is an exciting new Edmonton based cello duo.  They explore a wide range of music from the romance period of classical music to the vibrant beat of samba and tango that conveys their energy and enthusiasm to audiences.

Kasia Saturna and Diana Nuttall, superb cellists, are perfectly comfortable in taking on virtuosic pieces that bring out their passion and daring.

The two musicians met at a salsa dance class in early 2016 and soon were collaborating regularly.  They enjoy performing at private functions and in local clubs, and collaborating with other musicians.

Kasia grew up in Poland and fell in love with the cello at an early age. After graduating from Music, she became Principal Cellist in the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony. She moved from cultured Europe to the wilds of Northern Canada, where she spent ten years before moving to Edmonton to resume performing and teaching. Always following her heart, Kasia pours her soul into her music through her cello.

Diana was asked if she wanted to play cello in school in Grade Six. Thinking a cello was like a bassoon, she said yes. After discovering what it really was and sounded like, it became her passion. After graduating from Music in University, Diana played in Calgary Philharmonic and the Saskatoon Symphony, but soon realized she preferred to teach, and play in small ensembles. Now Diana loves to explore a wide range of genres, from Bach to Blue Grass, Folk music to Early music, Latin Music to music in the Theatre.
