Terry Morrison & John Gorham
Terry Morrison and John Gorham form a tight musical partnership that highlights their combined talents. Strong harmonies and skilled instrumentation form the backdrop for well crafted original tunes. Together they front the ‘Pleading Hearts’ a cheatin’ and hurtin’ country music outfit.
Morrison has four original cd’s to her credit and her music has been featured on a number of compilations including; ‘Wild Roses Northern Lights’ released by Smithsonian Folkways.
John Gorham is the songwriter and front man for the ‘John Henry Band’. He has also worked for many years as a bass accompanist for a lot of great players including Lesly Shatz, Joanne Myrol, Scott Wicken, Lindi Smith to name just a few.
‘First Waltz’ is their first combined recording. Recorded at Riverdale Recorders in Edmonton by Scott Franchuk, the cd is a combination of both of their compositions as well selected tunes from some of their fellow local songwriters. ‘First Waltz’ was produced by well known Canadian songwriter Stephen Fearing. He brings his own unique take on the music and his musical talent as a guitar player. Some of Edmonton’s most accomplished musicians grace this work including; Maria Dunn, Cam Neufeld, Keith Rempel, Byron Myhre, Bob Blair and Paul Martineau.
